Profile
Sophie has been consulting on retirement savings plans and asset management for over 35 years. She has no equal when it comes to designing and implementing winning strategies that benefit both companies and their employees. She is known for her rigour and professionalism, as well as her deep commitment to doing everything to ensure her clients achieve their goals.
Sophie holds a bachelor’s in mathematics from Université de Montréal and a Master of Business Administration from HEC Montréal. She is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and a CFA Charterholder from the CFA Institute. She also received a diploma from the Institut québécois de planification financière and Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute.
From 2005 to 2011, she was Vice President, Quebec Region, for the Canadian Pension and Benefits Institute.
She was the recipient of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries' Volunteer Awards in 2010, winning the Bronze Palm.
Sophie has served as an external member of the Ville de Laval's pension plan pension committees and master pension trust funds’ board of trustees since 2021, and Concordia University's employee pension plan pension committee and investment subcommittee since 2019.
Since 2023, she sits on the Traditional Committee of the Investi Fund which is a fund created by a dozen institutional investors aiming to contribute to innovation in sustainable finance in Quebec. The Fund was recognized in 2024 as one of the Top Projects by Canada’s Clean50.
In 2024, she moderated the panel on sustainable investment at the Pension Fund Seminar held on May 23rd in Montreal and sponsored by International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and CFA Montréal.
Sophie is always willing to give time and expertise to organizations helping people in need in our community. She takes part in the Guignolée de la Société Saint-Vincent de Paul de Montréal every year.
